Following his appointment as a prospective Board Member at the end of 2025, Henk Lukkezen is now officially a general Board Member representing the pensioners. Approval from the Supervisory Board and De Nederlandsche Bank has recently been received. (Also see this news item).

From accountant to pension expert
After completing his Higher Economics and Administrative Education degree in Accountancy (Nivra) and various modules at SPO on pension fund management, Henk built his career at Van Geel Systems, Philips and DSM. In a variety of roles – ranging from marketing and logistics to financial control – he gained broad experience within organisations. At DSM, his roles included Manager of Accounting for House Resins, Foundation Manager of Financial Control for DSM EMEA, and Knowledge Manager for FSS Hyderabad in India.
His extensive experience ultimately led naturally to his involvement in various bodies within the pensions sector. Since 2020, Henk has further specialised and now serves as Treasurer of the Association of Pensioners Koepel Gepensioneerden.
Pension ambition: clarity, fairness and balance
As a Board Member of Koepel Gepensioneerden, the national association representing pensioners’ interests, he is committed to ensuring fair and balanced pensions. For example, Koepel Gepensioneerden’s efforts to secure broad support for pension reform have resulted in a statutory right to be heard for pensioners’ associations. The VDP has also recently exercised this right to represent the interests of pensioners. Henk is well informed about pension developments and the legal framework of the Future Pensions Act (Wtp). In this regard, his guiding principle is to act in the best interests of the participants with respect to a good pension.
Between 2010 and 2020, he served as an employee representative on the Accountability Committee of Pensioenfonds PDN.
