Each year, the VBDO (Dutch Association of Investors for Sustainable Development) investigates and compares the sustainable and responsible investments of the 49 biggest pension funds in the Netherlands. We are pleased to announce that PDN has retained its solid eighth position in the ranking.
This result fills us with pride, especially because pension funds as a group have made the most progress on this issue to date.
The topic of sustainability is growing in importance. Many of our members, both young and old, ask us discerning questions about various topics, including our investments in the fossil fuels industry. The challenges posed by climate change are growing in scale and urgency, which is why we must responsibly manage the raw materials and funds at our disposal.
More information about the VBDO, its research, and the complete ranking can be found here.
In 2022, PDN took further steps to implement its refined sustainability policy. This is essential, as we want to give our members a good pension now and in the future on a liveable planet. That is why, when making investment decisions, we look not only at the possible return on investment and risks but also at the impact on sustainability. We also constantly review our policy.
