Planning the transition to the New Pension Scheme

On 1 January 2027, Pensioenfonds PDN plans to switch to the new pension scheme. This is a long and meticulous process. In October, the Board took the formal decision required for this purpose. At the end of October, the Board established all of the documents underpinning this decision. These documents have now been submitted to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). DNB will assess whether, in its opinion, the rationale is adequate and whether it is a balanced decision for all of the different groups of participants involved. In the experience of other pension funds with DNB, DNB may request changes to be made to the Board’s decision. Over the course of next year, we will know whether this also applies to Pensioenfonds PDN.
