You request a value transfer from your current pension fund. You can find out how this works on your current fund's website, or ask the fund's helpdesk.

A value transfer is done between your current pension fund and your old pension fund. It starts when you apply for a value transfer from your current pension fund. After that, you don't have to do anything for a while. After a while, your current pension fund will send you a calculation of the value of your pension. Only when you approve this the value transfer can proceed. The process takes about 6-7 months.

That depends on the funding level on 1 January 2027. The increase that Pensioenfonds PDN can give is shown in the table below. Please note: DNB still has to approve this. We will only know in the course of 2026 whether these are the final percentages.

The funding level and the policy funding level are published around the 10th working day of each month on our website under “Funding level, returns and other financial figures”.

This is necessary if you want to transfer to Pensioenfonds PDN because of the transition bonus. It can take up to seven months for your request to be processed. If you want to benefit from a better transition bonus, you must submit your application on time. That way, you can be sure that everything will be arranged in time. You can still submit a request after 1 May 2026, but the longer you wait, the less likely it is that you will be on time.
