A value transfer is made between your current pension fund and your old pension fund. The value transfer is initiated by you when you submit the ‘Value Transfer form’ . After that, you do not need to do anything for a while. After some time, Pensioenfonds PDN will send you a calculation of the value of your pension. The value transfer can only proceed once you have agreed to it. The process takes approximately 6-7 months.

 To give you a better idea, here is a calculation example:

Suppose you are 45 years old and you have a retirement pension somewhere that will yield €15,000.00 per year when you retire.

The value of that pension is approximately €70,000.00, which will go into your pension pot.

At Pensioenfonds PDN, with a funding level of 130%, you will receive an additional increase in your pension pot of 12.8% x €70,000 = approximately €9,000 on 1 January 2027. You can then see what increase you can get from your other fund.
