Then use the Cohabitation Certificate Form to register your partner with us. This tells us that you have a partner and ensures we can contact them if you are no longer around.

*Under the new pension system, the definition of partner for the partner’s pension has been broadened. If you can demonstrate that you run a joint household, your partner will be entitled to a partner’s pension.
There are, however, exceptions:

This only applies if:
- You are both over 18; and
- You are not related in the direct line.
What does this mean?
- You can register your adult brother or sister.
- You cannot register your (grand)child or (grand)parent.
