If you have recently been hired:

Welcome! From now on, you automatically participate in the Pensioenfonds PDN pension scheme. Amid all the new impressions, it’s important to see how your pension is arranged with us. The earlier you know this, the better you can plan for your financial future. Sometimes it’s wise to take action now, to make a real difference later. This will avoid surprises later on.

The arrangements in place for you

  • Your own pension
From now on, you and your employer will both contribute funds for your retirement, so that you will have a pension when you stop working.
  • Partner’s pension
Do you have a partner? Then they will receive a partner’s pension in the event of your death. Check whether you need to complete the 'Partner Registration' form.
  • Orphan’s pension
Do you have children? Then they will receive an orphan’s pension in the event of your death
  • Disability
Are partly or fully unable to work due to sickness or an accident? Then you will continue to accrue your pension (in full). If you become fully disabled, you are entitled to a supplement to your WIA benefit: the disability pension.

What does that mean in practice?

👉 As soon as you receive a message from us, you can log in to mijn.pdnpensioen.nl. There you can see the amounts involved. That way, you know exactly where you stand – now and later.

Previous employment elsewhere

If you accrued pension in a previous job (or perhaps multiple jobs), it may be in your interest to transfer that pension (or pensions). Whether this is beneficial depends on your personal situation.

👉 Tip: Discuss this with a pension advisor. This can help you make a well-informed choice.

We cannot determine whether transferring your pension is the best choice for you. But we can help you weigh the factors:

How good was your previous pension? +

If ours is better, transferring your pension may benefit you.

Would you like to have everything arranged in one place? +

A single pension pot can be convenient – in that case, transfer your pension.

What about the transition bonus?* +

This increases your pension. If our transition bonus is higher than your previous employer’s, transferring your pension may also be beneficial.

*The transition bonus will become available after 1 January 2027

What if you want to take your pension with you?

Small pension

Do you have a small pension (less than €632.63 gross per year)? Then you don’t need to do anything, your pension will be transferred automatically. You can check this on the pension statement you received when you left your previous employer.

Large pension

Is your pension higher? Then you can apply for a transfer yourself. Fill in the value transfer application form and send it to Pensioenfonds PDN. Did you have a partner’s pension? Then your partner must also sign the application form.

*Until 1 January 2027, your pension may not be transferable yet. This happens when your previous pension fund has already transitioned to the new pension system. In that case, you cannot transfer it until we have also transitioned to the new pension system.
