What if you become wholly or partially disabled?
No one likes to think about long-term illness or disability. But it can happen. And if it does, you will want to know the financial arrangements in place for you.
What if you become wholly or partially disabled?

Go to:
The arrangements in place for you
Statutory benefit (WIA)
You always receive a statutory benefit under the Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act (WIA) until your State Pension Age (AOW age).

Statutory benefit (WIA)
Partially disabled (up to 80%)?
Then it depends on your employer whether you receive a supplement to your WIA benefit.
👉 Ask your employer about this!
Partially disabled (up to 80%)?
Fully disabled (80–100%)?
You receive a disability pension from us, which supplements your WIA benefit up to 70% of your pensionable salary.
Fully disabled (80–100%)?
And your pension later?
If you become at least 35% disabled:
• you will continue to accrue pension with us for the part for which you are disabled.
• this is based on your full salary before you became disabled.
• The corresponding contributions are paid by Pensioenfonds PDN.
When you reach your pension age, your WIA benefit and any supplement will stop, and your pension begins.
And your pension later?
Do you have a partner and/or children?
The partner’s pension and orphan’s pension remain insured as they were before your (partial) disability.
